1. Alagadi Turtle Beach – Kyrenia

Alagadi Turtle Beach consists of two different bays located next to each other. One is always well-attended and has a restaurant called Turtle Paradise while the other bay is more secluded and suits those wanting a quiet day at the beach. Bring your own beach accessories as neither of the bays offer sun beds or umbrellas.

Sea turtles hatch their eggs on Alagadi Beach in the summer time where as the volunteer organisation SPOT organizes turtle nest excavations that can be attended by reservation.

Do not miss out on the natural “rock pools” heated by the Mediterranean sun where you can dabble your feet whilst looking out over the scenic coast.

2. Glapsides Beach – Famagusta

Famagusta’s Glapsides Beach has everything you wish from a day at the beach. It has white sand, crystal clear waters and views over a coastline kilometers long. The beach is open to the public and has a lively restaurant, toilets and showers. There are umbrellas, sun beds, deck chairs and pedal boats for rent. The beach is family and kids friendly as the sea is calm and the water is shallow. 

3. Escape Beach Club – Kyrenia

Escape Beach Club is one of the most popular beaches on Cyprus’ north coast. The bay has crystal clear water and is only a ten minute drive from Kyrenia centre. Escape Beach Club has all the facilities you can imagine and resembles an entertainment complex and a beach club. Activities on offer are water skiing, banana boat, jet ski, fly board, pedal boat and diving courses.

The Beach Club is opened in the summer and has shops, juice bars, restaurants, café and beach club with beautiful views of the bay and sea. There is an entrance fee including rent of sun beds.

4. Palm Beach – Famagusta

Famagusta has close proximity to many great beaches. The nearest and therefore perhaps the most well-attended one is Palm Beach which is a few minutes from the old city walls and next to the ghost town Maraş. When the heat takes its grip on Famagusta, many residents and tourists head to this beach.

Arkin Palm Beach Hotel is located right on the beach; here you can enjoy a good lunch or a refreshing drink on the hotel terrace overlooking the sea. There are sun loungers, sun beds and umbrellas available to rent as well as a snack restaurant for light lunches.

5. Korineum Beach

Korineum Beach is a cozy bay belonging to North Cyprus Golf Club Korineum with sun loungers, parasols, swimming dock and an excellent lunch restaurant. For a small fee you have your own sun lounger with parasol for as long as you want during the day.
